EDU-Nix Live CD Beta II Scheduled for Release
Holbrook, New York, July 11, 2006 − The EDU-Nix Team is pleased to announce the scheduled availability of the Live CD Beta II release, scheduled for July 25, 2006.
The Beta II release will address all known issues within the Live CD Environment, and will likely reflect the completion of the Live CD component; Further work on the Windows software experience may require a Beta III build, this will be determined at a later date.
The Beta II release will be available July 25, 2006 from the EDU-Nix Live CD Download page, and will be available via torrent shortly thereafter.
Beta II will also include updated Windows versions of OpenOffice.org (2.0.3) and Mozilla Firefox (1.5.0.4), but it may no longer include the Windows installer for Celestia due to size considerations for future expansion and revision.
