EDU-Nix Mirror(s) Needed as Download Totals Rise
Holbrook, New York, July 14, 2006 − Due to overwhelming popularity, EDU-Nix.org was down for portions of the last day due to Bandwith overages. Net-Prophets.com has now generously doubled the donated EDU-Nix.org bandwith allotment to 60GB of monthly transfer, but even this number is in danger of being eclipsed.
It is urged that all interested rely on the Torrent Download, since the torrent system is not constrained by bandwith limitations. Also, any organizations with available FTP or HTTP mirroring that would like to help out should contact
It is hoped that the bandwith and mirroring issues can be addressed prior to the Beta II release, scheduled for July 25. It is possible that Beta II may be delayed to coincide with the new month, in order to maximize our bandwith allotment.
