What is on the Dual Mode CD?
Firstly, if you own a Windows PC, there is a ton of Free Software for Public Schools, including GCompris as well as the Childsplay Suite of educational activities for children.
The CD also contains Windows installation files for the "Tux4Kids" series of programs - Tuxmath, Tuxtype and Tuxpaint, as well as Anagramarama and ABI Word.
This is also a "Live CD", which means that it is a fully functional computer Operating System that runs off of a Compact Disc instead of being installed to the computer hard drive.
The Live CD will allow students access to numerous Educational, Office Productivity and Internet programs from most modern PCs, enabling them to actually use their same software even if sharing a PC or using a public computer.
