Use KTouch to Familiarize Yourself with the Keyboard

(Live CD) Start KTouch from the link on the desktop, or from the Edutainment Menu under Miscellaneous.

  1. A quick overview of the KTouch Window. There is a visual keyboard on the screen which indicates the key to be pressed (in blue), as well as which fingers are assigned to each key by color.

  2. From the Training menu, select the English default lecture.

Play Tux Typing to Practice Keyboard Skills

Tux Typing is an arcade-style game that allows you to practice keyboard and typing skills in a fun way. There are 2 games, Fish Cascade and Comet Zap - each requires you to type the letters before they reach the bottom of the screen, and there are varied skill levels to begin.
