Burning CD Image Help

When you download the EDU-Nix Live CD, it is in the form of an .iso image file of the actual Compact Disc.

Using your CD Burner drive, you can write this image file to a blank CD-R and freely create an identical copy of the EDU-Nix Live CD on your own PC.Still Under Construction

There is an excellent information page from the Ubuntu Community that uses a program called imgburn, a free windows download. Use this tutorial for now.

Steps for creating the EDU-Nix Live CD

  1. Obtain the latest .iso image from the Download page, save it to your local disk.
  2. Start your CD Burning software of choice, choose to burn a CD Image.

    Click on File > Burn Image. Choose the .iso file that you just downloaded from the open file dialog.

    Click on File > Create CD from Image Choose the .iso file that you just downloaded from the open file dialog, you may need to adjust the "Files of Type" to *.iso
